Best time to visit: March-October
Go for this: Valldemosa, an idyllic mountain village perched on a hilltop, with tree-lined cobbled alleys and breathtaking vistas onto the surrounding valley. Its 13th-century Carthusian monastery has long been a place of inspiration for writers, artists and composers, including Polish composer Chopin, who lived there during the winter of 1838-39 with the French writer George Sand.
But try this: Take the scenic vintage train of 1929 from Palma to Sóller, set in a lush valley of orange groves between the mountains and the sea. Stroll around the beautiful town and soak up the lively atmosphere at one of the cafes on Plaza de la Constitución. Then, hop on an electric tram and head to Port de Sóller, an old fishing harbor, where a beautiful sunset by the sea awaits!
Favorite guest experience: Private hot-air balloon ride over the stunning scenery of Mallorca, a truly magical and unforgettable experience. Capture fabulous photographs as you rise higher into the skies, and enjoy spectacular views of the island from above as you toast with a glass of Cava.Enjoy an amazing day buzzing around the stunning coastline of Ibiza and Formentera on a private boat. Your captain will drop anchor in breathtakingly beautiful coves and bays so that you can swim to your heart’s content. Enjoy lunch in a lovely seaside restaurant in Formentera, Moli de Sal, for an amazing paella.
Favorite hotel: Cap Rocat, a historic and romantic beach resort, situated on the edge of a nature reserve and overlooking the Bay of Palma. A haven of peace and quiet, this boutique hotel offers a selection of magical dining venues and a private rock cliff beach with direct access to the sea.
7 Pines Kempinski Hotel. Nestled in a pine grove on the cliffs of the west coast of Ibiza between Cala Conta and Cala Codolar. With unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea and the magical rocky island of Es Vedrà, it is a truly unique location on the white isle and a prime vantage point to enjoy a memorable sunset.
